“1969 Porsche 917K”, 20″x60″x1.5″, acrylic on canvas. 2018.

The paintings that I create are usually done from my own reference photo. Our family attends car shows and events like Goodwood Festival of Speed, Pirelli World Challenge, F1, etc. This painting was created thanks to a generous photographer.

My husband was reading Reddit and saw a photographer that had taken several photos at the Porsche museum in Germany. When he saw this 1969 Porsche 917K (the one that Steve McQueen drove for LeMans), he knew I’d want to paint it. I contacted the photographer, and we worked out a barter for his image.

I’m very happy with how this turned out. This is the first of a racing, hyper, and super vehicle series I am starting. My goal is to have a large body of work together for a solo exhibition during F1 2019. Many more vehicles to go, but I have some stunning photos to work from thanks to generous parties.

This painting will be debuted at the annual Lubbock Art Festival. I am honored to announce that I will be the featured artist for this year’s event. The show will go on from April 12-15, 2018. This painting along with several of my originals will be available for purchase along with signed limited edition giclees. I will also be working on a painting during the 4 days for viewers to watch.
