Hello Vehicle Art Lovers!
(NOTE: Click on the image to go to this YouTube video)
How are you? I hope this newsletter finds you and yours safe and well. I am well and have been very busy. Although all in person events have been canceled this year, I have been a painting machine and working 6-7 days a week.
BIG News! I'm thrilled to share that I will be having my 3rd solo exhibition in 2021. I'm in the process of creating at least 6 new, never seen paintings for my March 2021 solo exhibition with Abend Gallery, in Denver, Colorado. Be on the look out for an invitation and debut images.
I have been accepted into the international Mondial Art Academia based in France. It is a great honor to be invited into this prestigious organization. A big THANK YOU to the judges and curators. I was notified that I have been nominated as a potential candidate for Texas State Artist –State Artist 2-D. This designation is the highest designation that the Texas Legislature gives in the arts. How cool is THAT?! The Highlands Motoring Foundation in Highlands, North Carolina have invited me to participate in their CELEBRATE ART + AUTOMOBILE Concours and art exhibition. They are partnering with the Bascom’s Bunzl Gallery for the FreeWheeling – the Allure of the Automobile in Contemporary Art exhibition (5/11/21-8/21/21). I will be exhibiting 3 works, including 2 that will be made specifically for the event. Publications: I'm super excited to share that Motortrend Korea interviewed me for an upcoming issue. I believe it will be out in the next month or two. I'll post about the article when I get a copy from the publisher.

On My Easel: I have 12 new paintings that I can not share yet as they are all going to future venues. I try to post little snippets here and there on my Facebook and Instagram pages. Be sure to follow for I am currently working on a 30"x40" German classic beauty and will share her as soon as I can. On A Personal Note:
I know the world is an uncertain and often scary place right now. I want to thank you so much for your kind emails, follows, sharing, and collecting of my work. Art has kept me from succumbing to depression this year, and I am incredibly thankful that my paintings have connected you. Please note that clearer images of my newest works are on my webpage. I'll be posting a bunch of new work in the next few weeks as virtual shows go online. My paintings are available for purchase through myself or my galleries unless otherwise stated that they are in collections. Feel free to contact me (or the gallery stated) regarding purchase and shipping options.
All the Best to you and yours, Shan
