1963 Mercury Monterey
This piece has a different story to tell. I met the owners of this lovely lady at a local car event. When I first saw the front of the vehicle, I commented on the beautiful reflections. The owner said: “If you like that, go look at the back deck.” WOW! Talk about a feast for the eyes. I knew I had to paint her.
I must admit that I used creative license on the sky color by adding in a pinch of purple. I felt this color complimented the lovely reds of the body and added more interest to the painting. My favorite part? I would have to say those tail lights. Such a dance of shapes. Simply colorful, crazy chaos.
