1959 Cadillac Tail Fin - Vegas Turquoise

Shan-and-Red-MG-MGA.jpg

I don't know what it is about these tail lights, but I just love them. I admire how the designers brought the atomic era into the styling of the Cadillac lighting. Sleek, prominent, and stylish.

The color balance of the teal blue with the reds/oranges of the lights is fun for me. Green and red compliment one another on the color wheel, and I think this combination on the Cadillac makes it stand out even more.

This is a smaller painting than I usually create. Once a year I created several small pieces for the annual Abend Gallery Miniatures exhibition. Although these pieces are smaller, they still take quite a bit of time and attention. Not to mention squinting from using tiny brushes (LOL!).

This 8"x10" painting and many other small/large pieces are available through Abend Gallery. All of my paintings come with a Letter of Authenticity and soft portfoliio book.

My paintings are created using the highest Liquitex and/or Golden acrylic paints, and are varnished 3x with UV/UVA varnish to lock in color.
