"The Workhorse" (Ford F-Series Truck)

I just love everything about this painting: The rainbow of colors, the patina on the Ford truck, the broken window that makes you wonder what happened, and the hint of the life where this truck works. 

I originally saw this truck at the annual Lone Star Round Up car show. The patina on the grill and hood grabbed me. What glorious colors are in that bumper (blues, browns, greens, purples, pinks, and more) to bring it to life. I added more background to this piece than I usually would as I wanted to transport my viewer to a more relaxes time and place. A trusty truck that works tirelessly for the hugely respected farmer. This is my nod of thanks for all of those that work from sun up to sun down to bring us fresh produce, dairy, grains, animal feed, fresh flowers, and more. Thank you!
