Honda-50

1961 Honda 50

1961 Honda 50, 24"x36"x1.5", 2020.

While visiting the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, I spotted this fabulous bike. Not only did I love the colors in the body, but it has a cheerful demeanor that I knew would be fun to get onto canvas. This painting was created quickly compared to many I've done this size. I think the vibrant colors were a great boost to my morale while under stay-at-home order during the pandemic. It was a welcome distraction that was fun to create.

This painting was included in the National Oil & Acrylic Society's Best of America exhibition at Cutter & Cutter Fine Art. I am humbled to be included in this prestigious show among so many incredible contemporary artists I admire.  This painting is also in the Oct/Nov issue of American Art Collector.
